Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

Withdrawal Policy
Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before peer review begins, by contacting the editorial office in writing. Once the peer review process has started, withdrawal is discouraged, unless there are compelling ethical reasons.

If a manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance but before publication, a written justification must be submitted, and the editorial board will review the request.

Retraction Policy
AUIJ follows the retraction guidelines issued by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). An article may be retracted under the following conditions:

  • Plagiarism or unethical research practices
  • Falsification or manipulation of data
  • Duplicate publication
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Legal infringement (e.g., copyright violation)

Retraction notices will be clearly linked to the original article, stating the reason for retraction and who initiated it. The original article will remain online with a watermark label indicating that it has been retracted.

Disclaimer: The retraction and withdrawal policy is subject to future updates to comply with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
